Walking along Mararikulam beach

I have stepped aside from the fast track world of corporate frenzy to take up writing. I use my time to travel and log my experiences.

Travelling has a cathartic effect in all of us. It transports us, however briefly, to a higher level of enjoyment! I travel to savour those moments.

A survey conducted among a group of octogenarians on the regrets they had harboured over the years, revealed a common thread of remorse among them. They all fervently wished that they had travelled more often in their active life!

I am not an octogenarian as yet, but I intend to keep those regrets at bay!

The views expressed in Footloose and Drifting are the author´s own.
All of us do not travel for the same reason, but travel we all do and enjoy the outing in our own way.

The Singapore government had once invited renowned photographers for a competition to capture the quintessence of Singaporean life. Not an easy task unless you were familiar with the place.

That is what I have strived to capture when I travel to places-experience the uniqueness of the place and capture those fleeting moments of revelation in my writings.

When I see something that touches my heart, to a small or great extent, I pen down those experiences. If it touched my heart, I hope in some small measure it generates similar feelings in you. The blog also encapsulates bits of information that I have gleaned from the camp waiters, the game wardens and from the inhabitants of the place. Chat them up and they can make your travel that much more interesting. Happy travelling!
