Voter: Arvindji, after so many of us voted for you and your party why are you taking so long to form the government in Delhi and become CM yourself?  Be like Nike -- just do it.

Arvind Kejriwal: No, that wouldn't be the right thing to do for AAP, because it would make AAP look like all other political parties.

Voter: So what would be the right thing for AAP to do then, after so many of us have voted for it?

AK: The right thing for AAP to do is to get all of you who voted for AAP to exercise your franchise yet again and vote for AAP once more, by way of a referendum on whether or not AAP should form a government.

Voter: OK, and if the referendum says that AAP should form the government when will you form the government?

AK: We'll have another referendum on that.

Voter: OK, after you've had all the referendums you want, including what time of day has the most auspicious muhurat, for AAP to form the government, what will be your government's first priority?

AK: We'll have a referendum on that.

Voter: All right, so for argument's sake, let's say AAP's first priority will be to stamp out all corruption in public life.  How will you go about doing that?  And please don't say you'll have a referendum on that.

AK: Wow!  You must be a mind-reader.  How did you guess that that's exactly   what I was going to say.

Voter: OK, so  we'll have a referendum on how to stamp out corruption.  But how about foreign policy?  What are AAP's views about Indo-US relations after this Devyani incident?  Should New Delhi retaliate by misbehaving with US diplomats?

AK: We'll have a referendum on that.

Voter: Indo-Pak talks?  What to do about Kashmir?

AK: Referendum, and again referendum.

Voter: You know, you're beginning to sound like a stuck record.  So I'm not going to ask you how AAP will help revive the economy which is in the ICU.

AK: Ref....

Voter (cutting AK short): No! No more referendums.  If the AAP government is going to do everything through public referendums - or should that be referenda? - then why does the public need an AAP government in the first place.  Why doesn't the public - the voters - eliminate the middleman, so to speak, and do all its own governing, become a do-it-yourself sarkar.

AK: Now you've got it!  That's exactly my game plan: how to give the country what is truly AAP ki sarkar...
